Hello! I’m Campbell Turner, a senior Biological Engineering student at the University of Georgia and the 2026 Green Lab Freezer Challenge Intern with the Office of Sustainability, working directly with the UGA Sustainable Science and Green Labs Program. In this role, I support UGA’s participation in the International Freezer Challenge by working with research labs across campus to improve cold storage organization, efficiency, and energy-saving practices.
My academic and research background in biomaterials and sustainable medical device design has shaped my interest in sustainability within STEM fields. I’m especially interested in finding science-forward, practical solutions that allow research and innovation to advance while reducing the environmental impact.
